Simon Richards
Business Owner
Simon has been in the spraying Industry for over 35 years, having started by selling 40-foot 1000 litre Jetstream boom sprays for Bennett & Fisher in the early 1980’s. He has been involved in the design and manufacture of spray application equipment ever since. Currently, Simon is leading the Spray Shop team’s product development drive with some exciting and innovative products to make farmers’ working lives easier and more productive when it comes to all things spraying and applying liquids to crops.
Don Thorp
Managing Director
Don began his career as a horticultural agronomist in New Zealand. He has worked in sprayer product development, sales and support, and specialises in spray application in horticultural crops. Now running the Spray Shop business to free up Simon’s time, he brings more than 40 years of experience on both sides of the Tasman.
Brian Maidment
Business Manager
Brian's association with the spray application started with Rogers Rural, one of the first spray equipment manufacturers in Australia. Brian has enormous knowledge through building sprayers and interacting with farmers and growers on a daily basis. Often, he can be found repairing and designing sprayers and systems for our wide customer base, including councils, contractors, farmers, growers and industrial applicators. He has been with the Spray Shop for 25 years.
Stefan
Sales & Customer Support
Stefan is a young and enthusiastic new addition to the team. His ability to understand technology has given the business new and fresh ideas and products, to bring to our customers. Stef also runs a small contracting business of his own in the Adelaide Hills, which is an excellent fit for the Spray Shop.
Wayne
Sales & Customer Support
Wayne manages the showroom and will assist you in sourcing all your sprayer parts. Wayne came off a farm on the Eyre Peninsula, and has worked as a vineyard manager, parts person and courier driver in his time. All these previous roles have given Wayne an excellent background to bring to the Spray Shop team, including logistics and parts knowledge.
Lynne
Administration
Lynne is responsible for administration for Spray Shop. Lynne has also been with the Spray Shop for more than 20 years, keeping the books in order and occasionally keeping the boys in order too!
Molly
General Busybody
Molly is the newest member of staff and Simon's faithful sidekick. Her major role is to bring a smile to the face of our clients.
